Sina Savani turns 5

This is the Savani we know and love. Such a typical look from her.

She's our little princess with sooo much attitude.

She had her first birthday party. Her and her friends are enjoying some pizza.

Siera wanted to be in charge of her games. She came up with pin the crown on the princess. She drew this princess and then made little crowns for each child. We blindfolded them and let them go.

These are our 2 winners.

We also played freeze dance. They loved this one.

The 3rd game was musical papers. This was a fun game as well. Thanks so much for coming up with the games and helping me Siera. Your the best!! I couldn't of done it without you.

We had the family birthday party for her on Sunday. She got some clothes from Grandma Newman.

And a cute outfit from Aunty Cindy.

She also got a bigger bike from Gma and Gpa Newman. She loved it!

She also wanted an ipod for her b-day. Hello you are 5! But Joshua & Siera have one and so she kept talking and asking for it. So we got her the ipod shuffle. It's hot pink and perfect for her. She loves it. She picked out her songs to go on it and she has listened to it nonstop.

Happy Birthday Savani. You are a wonderful daughter. We are blessed to have you in our family. We love your spunk and especially your attitude. I think you are the most tongan out of any of our kids, even though you always ask me if you can be white like me and Milika. You are a perfect fit for our family!!

Who's up for some boating???

We bought a boat! Fun times. I grew up boating all the time and have always dreamed of having a boat with my family. We are so fortunate to be in a position in where we can afford one. We were trying to decide if we would enjoy jetski's or a boat more. We decided with our family now and the kids still being young that a boat would be best. With jetski's one of us would always have to be sitting on the beach while the other one took the kids out. This way with a boat our whole family fits and we can take lunch in a cooler and enjoy the day out together. We finally had some beautiful weather last week and so we headed up to Deer Creek Reservoire. It's beautiful there. We had a great time.

Milika crashed after boating all day. We can't wait to go every weekend. We are so lucky to live in Utah where we have a different lake basically 1 hr away from us. Well the rest of our summer is planned out, let's pray for the weather to cooperate.

Miscellaneous

I am trying to catch up on blogging and just blog about a few things that have happened in the last few weeks. First of all we went camping over Memorial weekend with some good friends of ours. We went to Starvalley, WY. It is gorgeous there. Me and Lloyd were laughing and saying how we never knew how beautiful Wyoming was. We had lots of fun riding 4 wheelers and it rained on us and so everyone was muddy and dirty and the kids were in heaven. It was a great time.

Savani learned to ride her bike without training wheels. She had been asking and asking Lloyd to take off her training wheels and to teach her to ride her bike with 2 wheels. So finally he was able to teach her. It was so easy. She rode off as soon as she got on. Lloyd held her seat for a minute and that was it. She was a pro.

Soccer season is over. It was great. We started out playing in the snow and rain it seemed like almost every game. The kids loved it and had a great time. Siera and Joshua really improved their game and Savani had fun flirting and skipping around the field. What else can you expect from a 5 yr old???

The girls have been bugging me to take them to get their hair cut. So we did that yesterday. They both cut off about 6 inches. It will be a nice change for the summer, especially for Siera, she has such thick hair and it will be easier to take care of.

Preschool Graduation

My daughter Savani has finished her two years at Jacque's Preschool and has graduated. We had her preschool graduation last Friday night. This is her right before the performance and graduation began.

This is her class performing on stage. They sang lots of songs about things they learned each month. It was a very cute performance. She was so excited for it and they had been working on this for the last month at preschool.

Savani is being presented her graduation certificate and her memory book that they have been working on all year. Also they asked each child what they wanted to be when they grew up. Savani said she wanted to be a princess. We told her she would have to find something else to be, because she is already our princess. Cheesy I know. :)

Our little girl all grown up and ready for kindergarten.

These are two of her teachers at the preschool, Ms Lori and Ms Jan. They were fabulous!

This is one of her best friends from school, Jackson. We were able to carpool together which made the school year so much easier.

Grandma and Grandpa Newman were able to attend.

My baby's last day of school. I keep saying this but it's so true. They grow up too fast! I can't believe she will start kindergarten in September. What a great year!

I also wanted to journal about my birthday/mother's day/anniversary gift. I have been wanting a piano for a few years now, and we were finally able to get one. I am so excited. I love playing it! Siera is taking lessons, from my Mom and Joshua is going to start. We love having it!

Happy 60th Birthday Mom!!

This past Saturday we threw a surprise 60th birthday party for my Mom. She was shocked to say the least.

We sent her a fake invitation to someone else's party and so she had no idea.

She was very surprised to see my sister Tara there who lives in Vegas and she had no idea she was in town. It was great!

We invited close family and friends. Not too many people, but she said it was perfect who we invited. Yay! That was a relief since I was the one who was in charge of the invites.

Both of my brothers with their wives and kids.

My Mom with her birthday cake.

We put together a little program for my Mom. We started out with all the grandkids singing "I love to see the temple" for her. Then each of my siblings got up and told a favorite memory of my Mom growing up and then we had each of the grandkids say their favorite thing about Grandma. Also Siera sang Families are Forever and Caleb my nephew performed a comedy routine. They are my Mom's 2 oldest grandkids. They did a great job!

It ended up being a great night! We knew my Mom didn't want any type of party for her 60th, especially not a surprise party. Me and my sisters were nervous and didn't want to upset her. She kept telling us she was embarrased about her age and didn't want to celebrate. But we overruled that. My Mom is such a fabulous person and we wanted to celebrate her! Happy Birthday Mom! Here's to many, many more to come!

Happy Easter

We had such a fun Easter weekend. The best part was that my sister Tara was in town with her adorable son Drew and we got to hang out all weekend. I didn't take any pics, but it was so fun having them here and we did lunch and of course shopping and dinner with her,my Mom and sister Cindy. I sure treasure those times we spend together.

We also had the pinewood Derby. Although it's a great looking car, it didn't do too well in the race. Hopefully next year will be better. (Be nice you Ute fans):)

The kids had a great Easter. This is them at my Mom's house getting ready for the annual Egg hunt. We numbered all the eggs this year and each kid had to find their number. It made it a little more fun for the older kids, it took them a little longer to find all their eggs.

Me and my girls in our Easter dresses.

The kids right before going to church.

Savani had a fun Easter Egg hunt at her preschool too.
